Our living room: a puppy pen and a baby pen!

This week the puppies are very busy going through a tunnel, balancing on a tipping board, going up and down the stairs, exploring around the yard and a little bit into the surrounding woods. They are very popular in our neighborhood and enjoy a stream of visitors. They love to experience anything we can come up with for them - very active bunch...

The 4.5 wk old pups met a WING

They were all interested in sniffing it. Some carried it around! Gaia loved it the most :)

The pups are FOUR weeks old!

They are BIG babies now: they have started eating meals of soaked kibble, they had their first trip to the great outdoors, they are learning about crates and potty areas and they spend more time now playing and demanding ATTENTION (!) Shiva still likes to nurse them and clean them but she also keeps some time for herself (away from the niddle-like teeth).

Three week portraits

The pups are practicing BARKING - especially midnight time allerting (!) They all had their first meal of puppy formula from a DISH (big accomplished puppies) and are busy playing with each other and chasing Shiva around the whelp box when she comes to feed or clean them. Shiva spends more time now away with her human family or in the yard practicing her stick-chopping skills.

here are some more pix of the pups on their first week. They are growing fast and even starting to resemble dogs...a little bit...Shiva is enjoying motherhood!

Day two pictures

All are doing well gaining weight and practicing their high pitch whines which sound SO MUCH like Adam's...! Shiva still pretty much is glued to the box where she receives room service of Goat's milk, Kefir, yogurt, Maine wild blueberries and her regular food of course. She has a ravenous appetite.

Shiva had eight pups on August 18!!!!

Pink girl

SIX are girls :)) All are vigorous and feisty. Shiva is doing an AMAZING job (I have to drag her outside to pee; each time I come to fetch her she is busy cleaning somebody; shining babies)

In order of appearance: red boy 12oz 3/4, pink girl ONE POUND & 1oz, sage girl 14oz 1/4, light blue girl 13oz 1/4, orange girl 13oz 5/8, green girl 13oz 5/8, white boy 15oz 3/8, red girl 15oz 2/8. More after I catch up on some rest...

ANY day now...!

These pictures were taken Sunday, August 12, Day 59 in Shiva's gestation. She will have her pups SOON; they are very active inside and I can SEE them move and kick as well as feel it. Shiva is nesting under the thorniest rose-bush we have...we keep a close eye on her.

Two weeks to go!

Here are some recent pictures of Shiva having fun at the beach. She is really big now and seems a bit uncomfortable and on the warm side. She already has milk for her pups to come. We will be setting up the whelping box now to get her used to it.

Lost puppy contact information for people

I have been having major computer issues that hopefully are resolved now with a new computer. I seem to have lost all my recent contact information for people that are interested in Shiva's puppies.

If you were on my list of people to keep informed as to how the breeding is coming along, would you please contact me again so I can start a new list.

Shiva is doing great and we could have puppies in just a few weeks! Very exciting!
